Our verdict
SendGrid is the dependable workhorse for high-volume sending. It scales, it has both transactional and marketing surfaces, and its deliverability tooling is mature.
Newer APIs like Resend have raised the bar on developer experience, and SendGrid's docs and marketing UI show their age. But for sheer volume and reliability, it remains a default.
